Assembly of God Pastor
real, dynamic, &
spiritually revolutionary
Hello
I’m Betty
About
Betty Lowe is a published Assembly of God pastor that lives in Hillsville, Virginia with her husband and high school sweetheart, Mike. Betty accepted Christ at the age of five and has served the Lord ever since. For many years, Betty served as a youth pastor in both a volunteer and staff capacity. During the mid-1980’s, God gave Betty a calling to reach the young people inside & outside of the church through music and radio. Betty was led to pioneer, produce and DJ a contemporary Christian radio program in a major metropolitan market. The program became a seed that ultimately grew into the local contemporary Christian radio station that serves that market to this day. When not working as a youth pastor, Betty has served the church wherever needed.
In 2002, Betty accepted the senior pastorship of Yup’ik Assembly of God in Alakanuk, Alaska. Alakanuk is an isolated Yup’ik Eskimo village in the coastal wilderness of Alaska. While in Alakanuk, Betty learned the true power of the name of Jesus and His love. She brought the light of Jesus into a place of darkness and let it shine brightly while facing both shamans and demonic possessions. While serving Alakanuk, Betty was healed miraculously from an illness that nearly took her life after the pastors and elders of the region prayed over her.
Due to health concerns, Betty could no longer stay in the bush so she moved to North Pole because she could not leave Alaska.
Betty became an assistant to the pastor of North Pole Assembly of God and continued to work where there was a need. Opportunities to speak at ministry retreats and plant churches in rural Alaska kept Betty very busy. In 2015, Betty’s family home was completely destroyed by fire. The following year, Betty and her family felt that God had released them from Alaska and they moved back to her home in Virginia.
Throughout Betty’s life, the healing power of Jesus has been center stage. In June 2023, Betty was involved in a horrific car accident. She broke her C2 &C3 in her neck, 4 vertebrae, 5 ribs, sternum, damage to brain arteries and suffered a severe concussion. Doctors could not believe she was able to survive but God had other plans. She is still in the process of healing. In 2019, Betty went through the process of having a brain tumor removed.
At every step, Betty felt God walking with her as He had always done. In the past, it had been whiplash, pneumonia, gall bladder disease, or endometriosis but in every instance, God was faithfully walking with Betty as she walked with Him.
Betty’s excitement for the Lord is both contagious and genuine. Over her many years of ministry Betty has had the priveledge to witness the awesome power and love of God. Those unique experiences have crafted a testimony that make Betty’s messages from the Lord real, dynamic, and spiritually revolutionary. No matter the audience, Betty’s life in ministry makes her uniquely suited to minister to your group or congregation.

What I believe
16 Fundamental Truths
I BELIEVE…The Scriptures are Inspired by God and declare His design and plan for mankind.
I BELIEVE…There is only One True God–revealed in three persons…Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (commonly known as the Trinity).
I BELIEVE…In the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. As God’s son Jesus was both human and divine.
I BELIEVE…though originally good, Man Willingly Fell to Sin–ushering evil and death, both physical and spiritual, into the world.
I BELIEVE…Every Person Can Have Restored Fellowship with God Through ‘Salvation’ (trusting Christ, through faith and repentance, to be our personal Savior). [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the AG]
I BELIEVE…and practice two ordinances—(1) Water Baptism by Immersion after repenting of one’s sins and receiving Christ’s gift of salvation, and (2) Holy Communion (the Lord’s Supper) as a symbolic remembrance of Christ’s suffering and death for our salvation.
I BELIEVE…the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a Special Experience Following Salvation that empowers believers for witnessing and effective service, just as it did in New Testament times. [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the AG]
I BELIEVE… The Initial Physical Evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is ‘Speaking in Tongues,’ as experienced on the Day of Pentecost and referenced throughout Acts and the Epistles.
I BELIEVE…Sanctification Initially Occurs at Salvation and is not only a declaration that a believer is holy, but also a progressive lifelong process of separating from evil as believers continually draw closer to God and become more Christlike.
I BELIEVE…The Church has a Mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin. We believe ‘the Church’ is the Body of Christ and consists of the people who, throughout time, have accepted God’s offer of redemption (regardless of religious denomination) through the sacrificial death of His son Jesus Christ.
I BELIEVE…A Divinely Called and Scripturally Ordained Leadership Ministry Serves the Church. The Bible teaches that each of us under leadership must commit ourselves to reach others for Christ, to worship Him with other believers, to build up or edify the body of believers–the Church and to Meet human need with ministries of love and compassion.
I BELIEVE…Divine Healing of the Sick is a Privilege for Christians Today and is provided for in Christ’s atonement (His sacrificial death on the cross for our sins). [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the AG]
I BELIEVE…in The Blessed Hope—When Jesus Raptures His Church Prior to His Return to Earth (the second coming). At this future moment in time all believers who have died will rise from their graves and will meet the Lord in the air, and Christians who are alive will be caught up with them, to be with the Lord forever. [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the AG]
I BELIEVE…in The Millennial Reign of Christ when Jesus returns with His saints at His second coming and begins His benevolent rule over earth for 1,000 years. This millennial reign will bring the salvation of national Israel and the establishment of universal peace.
I BELIEVE…A Final Judgment Will Take Place for those who have rejected Christ. They will be judged for their sin and consigned to eternal punishment in a punishing lake of fire.
I BELIEVE…and look forward to the perfect New Heavens and a New Earth that Christ is preparing for all people, of all time, who have accepted Him. We will live and dwell with Him there forever following His millennial reign on Earth. ‘And so shall we forever be with the Lord!’
